Getting Started

How do I know if I need professional impersonation removal help?

You likely need professional help if you've reported the fake account yourself but it wasn't removed, the impersonation is causing active harm, the account keeps coming back, or you need someone to organize evidence and follow up through the correct platform path.

What information do I need to provide to start a case?

To start, we need: a link to the fake account, your name and contact information, proof that you're the person being impersonated (social media profiles, ID), and any screenshots or documentation of the impersonation. The more evidence you can provide, the faster we can act.

How long does the removal process take?

Straightforward cases often move within a few business days, but platform response times vary. Complex cases, private accounts, repeat impersonators, and messaging-app cases can take longer.

Can I talk to someone before paying?

Most cases can start with quote-first intake: submit the fake profile link and details to see the recommended tier before checkout. If you're dealing with an active scam or immediate threat, use the Emergency urgency option and also email urgent@impersonationremoval.com.

Pricing & Payment

How much does impersonation removal cost?

Quote-first intake is free. Standard managed support often starts at $199, Priority starts at $349, and multi-platform or business cases may require a custom scope. You only pay after you can see the quote.

How does payment work?

You submit the case and see the recommended tier before checkout. After payment, we begin manual review, confirm scope, and then prepare the report package and follow-up plan.

What if you can't remove the account?

Platforms make the final decision. We focus on creating a policy-matched report package and documented follow-up, and we recommend proceeding only when the reporting path is realistic.

Do you offer refunds?

Refund terms are confirmed before paid work begins. For fixed-fee cases, if we cannot complete the agreed reporting and follow-up process, we refund the service fee.

The Process

How do you remove fake accounts?

We use official platform reporting channels, policy-specific evidence packages, and documented follow-up. We do not use deceptive tactics or try to bypass platform rules.

Why can you remove accounts when I couldn't?

Many self-reports fail because they use the wrong category, lack proof, or do not clearly map to a platform policy. We structure the evidence and report language so the case is easier for the platform to review.

Will the impersonator know I reported them?

Platform reports usually do not identify the reporter to the impersonator. We also avoid contacting impersonators directly unless you specifically ask us to discuss a different strategy.

What happens if the account comes back?

For eligible paid cases, we include a 30-day follow-up window. If a similar account appears, we review it and advise on the next reporting step.

Platforms & Coverage

Which platforms do you cover?

Our strongest fit is platforms with official impersonation reporting paths, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and some dating apps. Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, and crypto scam cases are reviewed case by case.

Can you remove accounts on dating apps?

Yes. Dating app impersonation (catfishing) is one of our specialties. We work with Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Match, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, and many others. Dating apps are particularly responsive to impersonation reports when properly documented.

Do you handle business/brand impersonation?

Yes. Business impersonation requires different documentation and reporting paths. We help with fake business pages, trademark violations, executive impersonation, and customer-facing fraud. We can also assist with verification to prevent future impersonation.

Can you remove content from Google search results?

We focus on removing the source accounts rather than search results. Once the impersonating account is removed, search results typically update within days to weeks. For urgent search result issues, we can provide guidance on Google's removal request process.

Legal & Privacy

Is impersonation illegal?

Online impersonation laws vary by jurisdiction, but it's illegal in many states and countries, especially when used for fraud, harassment, or identity theft. While we focus on platform removal rather than legal action, we can provide documentation useful for law enforcement if you choose to pursue criminal charges.

Is my information kept confidential?

Absolutely. We treat all client information with strict confidentiality. Your personal details are never shared, all communications are encrypted, and we don't discuss cases publicly. Your privacy is as important to us as removing the impersonator.

Can I take legal action against the impersonator?

You may have legal options including civil lawsuits for defamation or identity theft, and criminal complaints in jurisdictions where impersonation is illegal. We provide thorough documentation that can support legal action, though we're not a law firm and don't provide legal advice.

Do you work with law enforcement?

We cooperate with law enforcement when requested and can provide documentation to support investigations. For cases involving financial fraud, harassment, or threats, we encourage clients to file police reports in addition to seeking removal.

Success & Guarantees

What is your success rate?

We do not publish a blanket success-rate claim because outcomes vary by platform, evidence, account behavior, and policy fit. Quote-first intake exists so you can see the recommended tier before you pay.

Do you guarantee removal?

No legitimate service can guarantee a platform's final decision. We guarantee the agreed work: case review, evidence preparation, official reporting, and follow-up according to the scope you approve.

How do I know the account was actually removed?

When a platform action is visible, we document what changed and share the relevant screenshots or links. Platform decisions and reappearances are outside our control, so follow-up notes stay part of the case record.

What if I have impersonators on multiple platforms?

Multi-platform cases are common and we handle them regularly. We coordinate removal across all platforms simultaneously, often at a bundled rate. This is actually more effective than handling platforms one at a time, as it prevents impersonators from simply moving to another platform.
